Alcohol Policy During Restricted Dates (Panama)
At GET PANAMA, we operate in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Panama and are committed to providing a safe and respectful experience for all guests.
On certain dates established by law or by the competent authorities, the sale, service, possession, and consumption of alcoholic beverages are prohibited during our tours, transfers, activities, and experiences.
1. Nationwide Restricted Dates
During the following dates, all services operate as Alcohol-Free Experiences, without exception:
-
December 20 – National Day of Mourning
-
January 9 – Martyrs' Day
-
Good Friday (Holy Week)
-
November 2 – All Souls' Day
Panamanian law restricts the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages nationwide during these periods.
Election "Dry Law"
During national elections, the Electoral Code prohibits the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages throughout the official Dry Law period.
2. Local Restrictions
Municipal governments or other competent authorities may impose temporary alcohol restrictions in specific districts or provinces due to religious events, public safety measures, commemorations, or other extraordinary circumstances.
If such restrictions apply to the area where your tour operates, your experience will proceed as an Alcohol-Free Tour in compliance with the applicable regulations.
3. Service Conditions
By booking with GET PANAMA, the customer agrees that:
-
Alcoholic beverages may not be brought onto or consumed during the tour whenever legal restrictions apply.
-
Our staff may request that alcoholic beverages be surrendered or discarded before or during the activity when required by law.
-
Any violation of these rules, or behavior that compromises safety, public order, or the enjoyment of other guests, may result in denial of service or removal from the tour without refund.
4. Notice to International Visitors
Panama enforces alcohol restrictions on certain dates established by national law (such as the National Day of Mourning), during official Election Dry Law periods, and occasionally through local government decrees.
These restrictions are mandatory and may prohibit both the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages during specified hours or dates.
Whenever applicable, your tour will operate as an Alcohol-Free Experience, even if complimentary drinks are normally included or you planned to consume alcohol.
5. Customer Communication
We recommend reviewing your booking confirmation and service notifications carefully.
Whenever an Alcohol-Free policy applies, your confirmation will clearly indicate that the tour will operate without alcoholic beverages.
